Erm will there actually be any useful content then.
Store Fronts, not exactly ground breaking, useful but seen it before and its only a small change to the contracts UI.
Medal/Certificates. Pretty much fluff going down the WOW route etc.
So where is the actuall expansion?
Doesn't seem like much?
What happened to Midas, surely store fronts and a new ship isn't the Massive Industrial patch we have been promised?

Originally by: Cailais Ok, so we've got storefronts for the cotnract system, and an Orca.
Is that it? I feel slightly underwhelmed tbh.
C.
Me thinks they have rushed this out to try to make the 1000's people they just ****ed off happy again.
but unfortunately there **** poor marketing didn't see that a new patch so big that can be implement in normal daily downtime erm I mean expansion would only ruffle more feathers seen as it was promised to be a much needed industrial expansion.
So where is all the stuff?????

Sure, Its small for an expansion.. But its still free just like every other expansion CCP has made for eve.
Your getting something for free and your whinging about it? Honestly... Grow up!
And there are some big content Expansions due to be released soon, and the last two have been huge (A big graphics improvement, a new region and a whole new way to have some easy fleet PVP)
Plus ambulation is coming up soon, and thats a whole lot of work.. Even if you don't like Ambulation you have to admit that is pretty big.
Personally, I do think a few bug fixes would be nice, but any reduction to lag is my friend...
Give CCP some time, even if its a small expansion its an expansion never-the-less.
They have already had 5 years and they have only just fixed a 5 Year old "bug"
Do you really expect customer to be happy with a no content expansion that will take 5 years to be deamed an exploit and removed. why get excited?

Originally by: Tykkis I'm glad they are focusing on network architecture and lag issues. Tells to me CCP plan to support this game for long time.
Or they are simply using Eve as a Lab Rat for network architecture and lag reduction method that they are going to use in their new game.

Originally by: Howatch Johalla For me this expansion looks like a good one even if it is a bit thin.
EVE Online: Quantum Rise is a staged delivery and began with the deployment of technology features, StacklessIO, EVE64 and hardware upgrades, as well as features such as the autopilot avoidance. The main reasons we're deploying the expansion in stages is that we wanted to be able to measure a before-and-after of the technology improvements and also to minimise deployment risk.
Later deployments (coming soon to a computer near you) will include even more DB optimisations and Need for Speed improvements, and more features, such as Storefronts, Certificates, Medals, Weapon Grouping, a new industrial ship, and more stuff yet to be announced.
Well marks for originality,
This is the first time any MMO ive played has announced a future expansion giving very few details most of which are features and upgrades that have already been implemented/rolled out.
This wouldn't have anything to do with trying to hide the other threads that have been locked/dissapeared? To try and reduce the massive ammount of unhappy customers.
I can see how a few pages of people excited about a new expansion is a better signal to give to investers than 200+ of disgruntalled customers.
Congrats on another job well done judging from the feed back so far
